  • AT Protocol Identity: Your decentralized identifier (DID) and handle when you authenticate
  • Page Content: The content you create and publish through our Service
  • Usage Data: Basic analytics about how you interact with the Service

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Display your published pages to visitors
  • Improve and optimize the Service
  • Communicate with you about the Service

3. Data Storage

Your page content is stored in two places:

  • AT Protocol Network: Your content is stored on your Personal Data Server (PDS) as part of the decentralized AT Protocol
  • manifest.page: We cache and index your content to provide fast access and discovery features

You retain full control over your AT Protocol data and can manage it through your PDS provider.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data:

  • As necessary to provide the Service (e.g., displaying your public pages)
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect our rights or the safety of users

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to:

  • Remember your theme preference (light/dark mode)
  • Maintain your authentication session

We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar privacy regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format

How to Exercise Your Rights

Delete your account: Visit your Account Settings and use the "Delete My Account" option in the Danger Zone. This will permanently delete all your manifest.page data.

Export your data: Your content is stored on the AT Protocol and can be exported through your PDS provider.

Other requests: Email privacy@manifest.page with your request. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page.
